Tag Heuer Launches Mario-themed Android Smartwatch

In perhaps the craziest collaboration ever, TAG Heuer launched the Mario Special Edition of its Connected smartwatch.

We have seen special editions of big-name smartwatches used for large events, such as the 2018 Hublot Big Bang World Cup and Champions League editions, but now TAG Heuer is offering to the iconic 90s Nintendo in the form of smart watches worth $2,150.

Tag Heuer Connected 2020 review

So what do you get?
Specifications and dimensions remain unchanged from the standard Connected (Tag Heuer has made impressive updates over the years). This edition provides four dials designed by Mario, decorated with colors, elements and icons from the game series.

The chronograph dial is designed with elements from the 1985 version of "Super Mario Bros.", while the Heuer 02 and Orbital dials are redesigned in Mario colors.

And Mario also appeared in the fitness tracking element. As you move towards the goal, various Mario-related animations will appear on the screen-eventually Mario climbs up the "Goal Rod". Yes, we also cannot fully understand this.

The Tag Heuer X Mario Edition comes with two straps: black leather on the red rubber numbers, and a second matching red perforated rubber band for sweating. Both are printed with Mario "M".

Although the design of Tag Heuer Connected has not changed, there are some unique elements. There are engravings on the crown and the bottom of the watch. The familiar bezel etching is also marked in red.

As usual, the special edition of Swiss watches is limited to 2,000 pieces, each priced at US$2,150. Mamma Mia!
